Yokohama, Japan | January 21-23, 2026
The 9th International Conference on Software Engineering and Information Management (ICSIM 2026) took place from January 21 to 23, 2026, in Yokohama, Japan, with the support of Keio University.
The conference began on January 21 with onsite registration and materials collection, alongside online paper sessions. On January 22, the Opening Ceremony was held, followed by three insightful keynote speeches delivered by Prof. Koichi Asatani, Prof. James Tin-Yau KWOK, and Prof. Runhe Huang. After a group photo and poster display, four parallel onsite sessions were conducted throughout the afternoon, covering topics ranging from software design and intelligent applications to security platforms, image processing, and bio-inspired machine learning. The day concluded with a dinner reception. On January 23, three online sessions were held via Zoom, focusing on intelligent software testing, machine learning and AI applications, and reinforcement learning-based optimization.
As we look back on ICSIM 2026, we reflect with great pride on the vibrant exchange of ideas that unfolded over these three days. Since its founding in Casablanca in 2018, the conference has traveled across continents—from Bali to Sydney, Palmerston North to Fiji, Singapore, and now back to Yokohama. Each edition has built upon the last, and this year was no exception. The quality of the papers, the depth of the discussions, and the spirit of collaboration among participants—both onsite and online—testify to the growing strength and relevance of our community. We extend our deepest appreciation to the Technical Program Committee, the diligent reviewers, the session chairs, and every attendee who contributed to making this conference not only possible but truly exceptional. Beyond the conference halls, we hope participants had the chance to experience the unique charm of Yokohama—a city that beautifully embodies the balance between tradition and innovation, much like the fields we study and advance together.
